LUTENSOL NE 9

LUTENSOL NE 9 is a nonionic surfactant that provides excellent cleaning and grease removal properties. As an alkyl polyethylene glycol ether made from alcohol and ethylene oxide, LUTENSOL NE 9 conforms to the formula RO(CH3)2CH(CH3)CH2O)2. It has a cloud point of approximately 86°C and hydroxyl number of around 105 mg KOH/g. LUTENSOL NE 9 is soluble in water and forms clear solutions with various solvents like distilled water, potable water, caustic soda, hydrochloric acid and salt solutions. It can also form fairly stiff gels at certain concentrations when water is added. LUTENSOL NE 9 is suitable for use in hard surface cleaners, industrial and institutional cleaners due to its ability to penetrate soils and emulsify greases effectively. Its low irritation profile and good foaming properties make it well-suited for applications where user safety and environmental friendliness are important considerations.
